Up for sale is a resto-type 1966 Ford Mustang with a Fuel Injected 5.0 Overall and very nice mustang with a killer 5.0 fuel inject motor. With this car you get the best of both worlds, the look of the 66 mustang with the horsepower / reliability of a foxbody mustang. Here are some details: -1966 body with 1965 grill,dash and side scoop chrome delete (people will think that it is a 1965). Floor pans and lower firewall are new - floors have been insulated with fat mat and heat shield. Interior is mostly original. Car was painted 15+ years ago. -Engine is 1988 5.0 h.o. from foxbody. Lower mile engine with all new gaskets/paint, new timing chain, new oil pump/pickup, new Ford b303 cam, new water-pump, new distributor/coil, new upgraded injectors, new belt tensioner, new alternator, new belt, new computer, new mass air meter,new oil pan, new starter, new 5.0 conversion SFI flywheel and new O2 sensors. Wiring harness is Ron Francis/Detail Shop made for the conversion with only three wires hooked to solenoid (no splices to factory harness). Exhaust is all new with custom h-pipe,new shorty headers and Flowmaster 40 series mufflers. Exhaust dumps out after mufflers and you can put tail pipes on if its to loud for your liking. Transmission is rebuilt with a new v8 torque converter and new tranny lines. The radiator is new (5.0 conversion - aluminum), new radiator hoses, new heater hoses and new fan. The engine mounts and tranny mounts are also new. Battery and cables are new. Fuel and return lines are new (OEM style plastic) with a new MSD efi pump. -Tie rods and drag link are upgraded to v8. -Looks like rear brake lines and front/rear shocks are newer. Fuel sender/pickup are new - tank looks newer. Heater core was newer - cowl looked good. I also insulated rear floor (under seat) and trunk divider. I lowered and moved the seats back (adjustable) so someone 6+ foot will now be able to drive it - also welded in reinforcement to floor. Guages work good (rare) and rear windows actually go down (they usually dont work very well). Still has original radio - does work but I unplugged it. Please keep in mind the paint is over 15 years old and is not perfect. It has numerous chips / small scratches throughout. I would call this a nice driver quality paint. I tried to take pictures of the small rust spots on the car but overall this is a very solid car. The only thing I would do to it that I didn't get to is the front disc brake conversion kit.($700) Although the brakes would fine, with that much motor it would definitely help to get disc brakes to stop it.
