Here's a good 1995 Ford Explorer LTD 4 x 4. It has a 4.0 V6, Automatic Transmission, 4 Wheel Drive. If you're looking for perfect/mint, look elsewhere. If you need good/reliable, this may be for you. We have owned this truck for about 4 years, since 160,000 miles. It's still a daily driver. Reason for selling is the need for a larger SUV, to accommodate a large dog crate. I'm a retired mechanic and have done all the maintenance, since we've owned it. That said over in the last 28,000 miles It's had regular oil change and service. There's a 4 Goodyear Wranglers, might have 20,000. It had new brakes about the same time. Backs are fine and just did the front again (in May). Shocks are about a year old. Exhaust from, and including, the converter back less than 10,000 miles. New starter, battery, serpentine belt and tensioner, thermostat and valve cover gaskets, probably in the last 5000 miles. The car starts, runs and rides smooth. Four wheel drive works great. I've towed a 4 by 8 trailer on occasion with no effort. We've made multiple trips of a few hundred miles with no issues. And on occasion unstuck my plow truck. It's an XLT. Power locks and windows, power drivers seat. rear heat/AC and radio controls. (never tried them). Cruise control, Tilt wheel, AC and AM FM Cassette. Leather seats. As stated, it's not perfect. It has some issues that haven't bothered us. They are as follows. Body minor scratches and dings. Worst is by the gas filler door. Slight rust, just beginning on the rocker/jam at each rear door. The bumper has rust and a slight tweak. It's still solid and will pull light stuff. The hood is faded. Overall still a nice looking ride. Frame is solid, no rust in the floors. Issue list: Radio does not turn off. We just turn the volume down. A/C dose not work. Need a compressor and likely a few other parts. Shifter is a bit sloppy and doesn't start always start in park. Drivers door lock doe not lock automatically Interior center console lid has a tear. Driver back worn thru on the door side. Dash lights don't dim (needs a switch). Slight wine in the power steering pump. Came to us with it. Never been an issue. Check engine light comes on more than it's off. Probably intermittent stuff. Runs fine and no issue for inspection being pre 1996. Good solid transportation here. You can drive it home!
