Vehicle Detail

I bought this 1960 Mercedes after watching that Vegas Pawn show. Someone came in to pawn his ponton. It looked very cool and the guys at the shop were commenting how awesome the car was and did not want to give him the 30K that this guy thought it was worth. Well impulsively I went out and bought this one 3 years ago after seeing that show. I am an avid vintage VW guy and really know nothing about these cars except that they look super cool. This one is diesel and that makes it about as slow as one of my old VW's. When I bought this car, from a guy named John in Delaware, I was backing it out of the driveway and I could not get it into 1st. He came over a fumbled with it for 5 minutes and off I went. About 50 miles into my 150 mile trip I was not able to go into 1st again at stop lights. I was able to overcome this by turning the car off, put it into 1st, start the car up and off I went. Going up through the gears there is no problems at all. Down through the gears, no problems until you get to 1st. IT IS NOT A TRANSMISSION ISSUE. It is something with the linkage on the side. I never had time or patience to figure it out. It was found in a barn before I got it. Now it sits in my barn. I start it up and drive it around every once in a while but I have put maybe 300 miles on it since I got it. MAYBE. The car has no rust. Floors are solid as well as the rockers. I took a magnet to it and found no huge bondo hiding spots. The trunk has an indent from the inside where you can tell it was kissed but covered up and painted. Headliner is junk and it has some silly seat covers on it. Bumpers have some bad welds. Could use better paint but still good. Other than that it is all there and comes with some extra stuff that I never went through. Reserve set at 2500.00 I will not ship this car but you may have a shipper pick it up. Paypal due within 3 days of auction ending or I will relist and ask ebay to get the fees back from you. The reserve is set at 2500.00
