This is one of the latest and best air cooled Westfalias. The westy has new canvas top, upholstery is nice except for the cushion over the engine compartment (It is great if the dog is going to sleep there) Van just passed smog so it is all original, trans shifts well, brakes work as they should. . In my opinion the aircooled vans are far more reliable and practical than the later watercooled ones. No water leaks, no overheating, no fans to go out etc. I has a nice set of Mercedes rims with brand new tires in the rear and really good tires up front. The van pulls strong and has no trouble getting to 80 mph on the freeway. This is a very solid rustfree (rustfree is a big word, absolutely no serious rust anywhere) runs great and is a pleasure to drive on the fwy.
