1981 Honda CR

Up for sale 1981 Honda CR125R Elsinore original, very low hour, and un-restored in remarkable condition. The 1981 CR line is a piece of Honda history. Last year Elsinore designation, first year progressive mono shock (Pro-link) and first year water cooled. Honda attempted to give the public a chance to own pretty much a factory RC125 works bike. I purchased this bike a few months ago to ride and enjoy due its superb condition. I spent a couple weeks in my spare time doing a detailed cleaning and the bike looks like you see. I was stunned it still has it's original K21 front and K22 rear tires in good condition. All plastics are original except I put on a period correct Cycle-Am front fender because original has light stress mark in it and it looks cool. I still have original. One of the last 50 made so it should have factory updated cylinder porting, a mid year change. I have decided this bike is just to nice for me to ride and it may be of interest to a CR collector. I absolutely love this model and really pains me to see it go, but for me no ride means no keep. Condition: Mostly original and un-restored. No sign a wrench ever put anywhere to the engine. Starts first kick. Still retains rare "Snow shovel" front number plate ! I say mostly original because I replaced all the decals with exact replicas. I all touched up black paint on front and right side number plate as well as shift lever. I replace the original chain as well. These early models are very difficult to restore due to one year only features and 99% discontinued parts. Please allow me to express this bike was ridden and is evident. Some light scratches on tank, rock gouge on rear of swing arm, boot wear on frame and engine covers, pea sized tear in seat cover just above silencer mount. Any doubts please ask before bidding.
