Vehicle Detail
Offered for sale is an extremely rare and gorgeous 1990 porsche 944 S2 cabriolet with 29k original miles, alpine white exterior with blue interior and top.Delivered new to its first owner by gateway porsche in portland oregon.Unfortunately the previous owner passed away. 1998 I purchased the vehicle with 6,500 miles as the second owner, always keeping it garaged and maintained and never driven in the rain, I did drive in snow once and was surprised how well it handled because of the 50/50 weight distribution, don't let the low miles scare you, I understand how important it is not to let a car sit undriven for long periods of time, and would drive every three weeks even in the winter on nice days of coarse. The car's finish is exceptionally clean, 100%original and only a couple of minor imperfections, which do not show up in pictures, although not significant enough to show up in a report, In 2001 I did have a parking lot ding on rear passenger side which their insurance co. paid for, I do have pictures but it was so minor that it's hard to see, the body is factory straight and correct, retaining consistent panel fits and gaps. The glass and rubber are in excellent condition as well as the original top, also wheels and tires in like new condition with exception to a couple of wheel scuffs about an inch long. The car's interior is practically like new, leather seats and original carpets showing virtually no wear whatsoever, the interior panels and dash are flawless. This car has no mechanical or engine problems whatsoever and is extremely strong mechanically, idling consistently and pulling strongly and smoothly through each of the 5-speed transmissions gears.compression is excellent across all cylinders, this 944 S2 is surprisingly quick and the experience from behind the wheel is satisfying and unique to porsches ,all electrical components work properly(seats, windows, convertible top) After 19 years of ownership I do have a stack of original books, manuals, tools, porsche car cover, cover to protect interior of car when top is down, front car bra and side mirror bras ,and other misc. items including a copy of original window sticker and blank key and service records accompany the sale. When I first purchased the car I installed a performance power chip with is still in place, not sure if it made a big difference, but I will include the original chip. I installed wider wheels and tires which I believe look so much nicer but understand some may want all original, so I will include original wheels and tires that came with the car.Last service I spent 1800.00 on clutch job and bilstein shock absorbers and recharged air conditioner, which works like new. It's becoming difficult to find, low mileage examples, and considering that only 2,402 944 s2 cabriolets were produced over the three years, undoubtedly one of the finest remaining 944s available on the market today. This is a truly a special 944 S2 cabriolet, worthy of the garages of weekend enthusiast and the seasoned collectorAutocheck vehicle history report score for similar vehicles is 24-50 they score this car a 76.I have clean/clear title in possession.I have many more pictures that I can e-mail if needed.serious inquiries only- I would be glad to forward my cell number through e-mail only.No issues on this 944 S2 cab, good luck bidding.
