Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a wonderful Ermine white Corvette “Fuelie” 283 Convertible. Don’t miss an opportunity to own a rare version of this head-turning Corvette. This car has been in the family for over 25 years, and it has been a true joy to drive. Mechanically, the car is in great shape. The 283 was rebuilt in the 1990’s, and it still runs strong. The brakes work great with no pulling to one side or the other. The parking brake is not connected, so that will need to be addressed by the buyer. The transmission shifts smoothly through the gears, but if 2nd gear is used to “engine brake”, it may pop back into neutral. I’ve never really had an issue with this, because I tend to drive with my hand on the shifter most of the time. The paint is in decent shape, and most would call this car a “10 footer”. There is minor checking and cracking, but we prefer to call it patina/character. The cove trim is missing the lower pieces on both sides of the car, but the winning bidder will receive a brand new (complete) set of trim pieces (still in the box). The fuel, oil pressure, temperature and voltage gauges work… tachometer and speedometer do not. The original fuel filter will come with the car, along with the original antenna and a few odds and ends. The Wonder Bar radio is intact, but not functional…same for the clock. The door panels are missing a few bits and pieces, and fit and finish is not perfect. We didn’t mind, because it’s a driver and not a trailer queen. Car is sold as is with no warranty. Buyer to verify all information prior to bidding. $1000.00 non-refundable deposit due upon winning the auction. Buyer to arrange all shipping/transport. Payment to be made via cash in person (preferred method), wire transfer, or bank check. Payment to be made in full or cleared prior to vehicle pickup. Car is for sale by owner.
