Vehicle Detail
1970's Dodge survivor Custom Camper Van in good working condition. Super rare factory tinted windows front and rear! See the factory equipment identification sticker. The tint is in the glass so it will never go bad and the windows are in excellent condition. Heavy tint in the back door windows and a lighter tint in the front. Period 1970's camper interior with fold down seat in back that turns into a bed and a ice box that will keep beer cold for about 48 hours in the summer. Ceiling mounted CB radio and two neat looking 70s design ceiling lights that have not been tested. Comes with original stereo speakers front and rear, but needs a head unit. Has that killer 70s vibe to it that is getting harder and harder to find. No funky smells or abuse, was well taken care of by previous owners. Drive it home, or have it shipped anywhere in the world. This van runs good and drives excellent. Starts right up with no hesitation. Transmission shifts solid and works smoothly. The steering has had the freeplay adjusted so it does not have the steering slop that is typical for these. Spirit of America 15" wheels and all terrain tires with 80% tread left. Engine lets out a puff of smoke when started and occasionally has a minor flat spot when throttle is pressed down quickly, but otherwise is a good runner with no scary noises or other problems. I've taken it out a few weekends and it has performed flawlessly with the engine temperature staying on the cool side. Barely left a spot of fluid where it was parked. Steering linkage/suspension feels tight. Was told the brakes had been gone over before I got it and it does stop very good without pulling to the side. Power steering works great and it handles good through the corners. Check out the superbly done custom headlight stone guards over the light bezels that add a touch of class up front with the hard rubber push bumpers. It's fitted with the towing package as well with a ball hitch, trailer light wiring socket and hard rubber cover on the ball that matches the front bumpers. Has the oversize 36 gallon gas tank option for those long trips too! Black interior trim option, arm rests, dash and black steering wheel all in very good condition! The period custom seats are still in pretty good shape, but the fold up arm rests could use a little work. The passenger side seat has a chrome knob on the side that allows it to recline all the way back to flat for sleeping. The original 70s custom camper interior is still in good useable shape but could use some details here and there. The traffic areas of the carpet will brighten up with a cleaning. Included but not pictured is a set of table pedestal stand and receiver bases that bolt to the floor and any RV type table. There is a hole already installed in the floor for this. The fold down rear seat has a 3" long tear on the back side and a few holes in the upholstery where it has become brittle on the top and front edges. It is still clean tho, so I think you could save the original look by running a strip of naugahyde across the top and front. The paneling on the walls is a bit scratched up and worn so could use upholstery or paint, but the ceiling is still nice. Van comes with two NOS sliding side windows that are slightly oversize for good fitment to replace the originals or leave it as is! The original rear door spare tire and carrier is included as well that is a direct bolt on. I have tried to show the body imperfections in the close up pictures. The paint is worn in some spots. Even though this is a good working vehicle that I would not hesitate to drive anywhere, it is sold as is because I do not have the time to figure out what it needs to pass a CA smog test. Title is clear and I have a nice new CA pink slip for it to sign over to the buyer. IF YOU REQUIRE A CALIFORNIA SMOG CERTIFICATE FROM THIS BUYER FOR THIS VEHICLE DO NOT BID.On Jun-11-15 at 20:17:28 PDT, seller added the following information: The door weather seals need replacing due to age but these are available. The door window seals including the driver and passenger window and vent seals look very good.
