What a cool bike with a great story. This bike was one of 10 owned by a carnival. They bought them new, did some modifications, and made them into a merry-go-round. Imagine how many kids had there picture on this.... The bikes were converted into 2 seaters, with a T-bar in between. They were mounted side by side on the merry go round, with wooden runners between them. The last 5 pics show what im talking about. The previous owner bought 8 of the bikes, and this one was the only bike he could save... and a great job he did. The carnival never put gas in them, and never started the motors. They removed the wiring, brakes, chain, disabled the steering and front suspension, and made the gas cap un-removable. This is the only bike that still had the dipstick still in it, as the rest had filled with water over the years. Alot of time, and some original parts were put on, and now its back on the trail. The engine sounds amazing, runs like a sewing machine, and is very quite. Starts on the 1st kick, and idles by its self. You can actually start this bike with you hand if you wanted too, so easy. Headlight works, handlebars still fold down, new tires and tubes, new brake pads front and rear, and I was told it still has the original spark plug in it. If you wanted to add a tail light, the wires are right there, ready to plug in. This bike isnt cosmetically perfect, but it is mechanically sound and rust free. It runs like new, and is ready to ride. Its got a great look, great history and story, and always makes me smile everytime I see it in the garage.
