Vehicle Detail
This is simply a beautiful example of an S2 spider, that needs nothing to be enjoyed. Car looks, sounds, and performs exactly as it was meant to, everything works as it should. The car drives great; goes, stops, turns, shifts and makes all the right sounds. The body is super straight with no dings, scratches or chips (the engine bay and trunk have not been painted). Body gaps are all great, the gas filler door looks like it's about an 1/8" shy of closing because the new weatherstrip is preventing it from shutting all the way. The interior is amazing, all lights, gauges, switches, buttons, horn etc. work. (However turn signal lever seems to be working intermittently) Seats, dash, console, rubber mats are in excellent condition, no tears, holes, etc. The door panels are excellent originals (the faux chrome strips are showing some wear as seen in pictures) All restoration was done with originality in mind. California Bay area car since 1972. Two inherent weaknesses of these cars were the weak 2nd gear synchros and cracking dashboards (this has a rebuilt transmission with new synchros so shifts perfectly in every way. And incredibly, the dash is original and in flawless condition) Top is in perfect condition with no tears, holes etc, fit is perfect and back window is 100% clear with no scratches, additionally it goes up and down and the latching mechanism is all there and works as it was designed. A new black vinyl top boot comes with the car, as well as an indoor fitted car cover). I have done my best to describe this car, please ask questions, if there is a photo of something you don't see I'll do my best to get it. I am near some well-respected Alfa shops should you want to have the car checked out. The previous owner bought from original owner and noted it had not had any accidents, looking at the substructure behind front bumpers into engine bay it appears to all be untouched original, same at the rear with inside the area behind the taillights and the floor of the trunk. Same with rocker panels, all welds etc., appear to be original.
