Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1996 Ford Thunderbird, this car has never been driven in the snow and only driven in the rain 3-4 times. I bought the car new and did a lot of work to it, Vortech super charger, 2600 stall converter, 3:73 gears, Eibach lowering springs, Pro-M mass air meter, BBK adjustable fuel pressure regulator, T-Rex high volume in line fuel pump, custom chip by SuperChip, JBA Headers. Originally I started out with the super charger on a stock motor, that didnt last too long. Had the bottom end built by Sean Hyland Motorsports in Canada, has Manley Rods, Wiseco Pistons, new 4.6L block bored .020 over, heads were ported/polished at A-1 Machine in Greensburg Pa. There is a small ding in the drivers side front fender (see pic) where one of the kids knocked over a bicycle, it didnt scratch the paint since it was covered, theres some scratches on the front bumper where my son kept running into the car with the hand mower and the plastic on the side of the drivers seat has a small crack at the screw hole (see pic) The exhaust was very loud so I took everything behind the headers off and slipped the factory exhaust back on, only tightened up the bolts by hand, did that just so a buyer could hear the miss in the engine. And the window tint on the doors was removed since those pics were taken, a week before I parked it, I got pulled over for window tint being too dark and the cops made me remove it, back 3 windows are still in limo tint. Never really got the car tuned in right, always had air/fuel ratio problems and ended up burning a valve due to running lean. And thats where it ended, got tired messing with the car so I backed it in the garage and its been sitting there ever since....that was in 2004, although I do pull it out at least once a year and wash it (yes it does run and still drives, just has a bad miss). Ive had the car listed before, always had a buyer for it that couldnt come up with the money or didnt have a way to pick it up, but this time its got to go. I need the room in my garage, so make an offer and come pick it up. I wont ship the car or pay for shipping, getting it is up to you, I put a new Ford Motorcraft battery in it last summer and drove it 2 blocks to the gas station and aired the tires up, so you can drive it up to a rollback pretty easily but I wouldnt suggest driving it long distances home. I love the car, never thought I would get rid of it as its the first new car I ever bought but Im just not interested in getting it running and driving it again and its taking up valuable garage space.
