I bought this Corvair on Ebay 8/9 years ago as a birthday present for my wife ( born in 1963 ) . Got it from an older gentleman in CT who spend a lot of time, love and money restoring it . As I was told at that time , everything was done , paint , interior ,top , new tires.... the engine was changed from a turbo to a regular 6 cylinders one . I am not a Corvair expert , I have a few old cars for my pleasure and try to buy them in the best possible condition . We use this one to drive around the Eastern part of Long Island in NY, go to the beach .... we have now moved to NJ and we have no use for this car anymore . Never had any problems ,was never in the rain . This is not a fast car but everybody like it . As we did not used it for some time , the car will probably need to be tuned up at one point but work fine right now. Will answer questions promptly . I reserve the right to cancel / end this auction at any time , the car is for sale locally . The starting price and the Buy It Now price are much lower that what I paid for this car years ago , this is a no reserve auction so you bid to own . This a 50+ years old car , to be sold as is / where is , no warranty . You should come or have somebody ready to inspect the car before buying . The Corvair is now located in Stockton NJ .
