The body remained largely unchanged in the 1965 and 1966. The F-Series was given an all-new chassis. This would go on to underpin the F-Series until 1979; consequently, many parts from 1965–1979 interchange such as brakes and motor mounts. An all-new Twin I-Beam front suspension was introduced with coil springs; 1965-1966 F-Series trucks are distinguished a "TWIN I-BEAM" emblem on the front fender. The introduction of the 208-hp FE V8, output surpassed 200 hp in the F-Series for the first time This is a no reserve auction. If you bid, be prepared to pay. She is not represented as perfect, because its almost 50 years old, but we know of no issues other than the period correct A/M radio we found does not work. This truck was at the Mecum Auction in Indianapolis May 13 early in the morning and brought $15,000. Mecum is a great auction, but I was a rookie. I should have paid for a better slot later in the day or week. It was straighter and nicer than most of the other trucks, but didn't go through under the excitement of the lights. There is no reserve. The first bidder will be in the green. I will not sell her prior to the end of the sale. I will not pull it from the sale at the last minute. The title is in my dealership name. If you are an Indiana resident or pick up the vehicle in person, I am required to collect sales tax in the amount required by your state. You will be given an ST108 or ST108NR. If you purchase the vehicle and have it shipped to your location outside the state of Indiana, you will be required to pay the appropriate sales tax at that time. Obviously, dealers will be exempt once a copy of your paperwork is received.
