Car starts and has decent brakes but would need to be transported or towed for safety since it hasn't been a daily driver since 2007 Originally ordered through a Tokyo, Japan Mercedes dealer then shipped trans-oceanic to CO, USA 1959 to the orig.owner Clear transferable title. Door coverings, ceiling fabric, rubber seals, gaskets and upholstery are sun damaged or old. Most glass is good except the windshield has a ping in the center of it. Very cool 1959 bucket seats with upright or back tilt adjustments. Car has plenty of power for a 2200 cc. engine. Runs fine. The engine sounds great ! Ignition: Last tune up was in 2003 according to receipts from the previous owner but it starts after a few attempts. Fuel: there is an electric fuel pump. The twin carburetors were rebuilt in 2000, and need service. I would suggest new carb. kits. Body: see photos. There is a small hole in the rear door well, a hole in the drivers side floor, small rusted area in each front wheel well. These are sheet metal areas and not structural. Car is undercoated. One of the spare tire wells rusted in small sections. Structurally the car is solid, The frame, rails, doors, truck lid, and hood etc.etc. are all solid! Needs new paint Has 2 good tires on the rear and 2 poor tires on the front, good spare. Spare parts: misc spare parts ie. rear bumper over riders, reverse lights, interior door parts, trunk matting, replacement int. door and window latches along with misc. parts. Original Bilstein jack, original owners manual, paper work is included. Overall a very special luxury car in pretty good shape in need or restoration. Could be driving down the road very soon with some attention to a few details. I have described this vehicle with as much honesty and clear judgment as I can. Buyer will need to either inspect the car or hire an agent to do so prior to pickup. I will help with coordinating shipping the car if you don't tow it. Mercedes is sold as is.
