Up for NO RESERVE AUCTION is this mostly original 1965 Volkswagen Deluxe Beetle. California car since new, it still has most of its original red paint. Never been wrecked, lowered, raised, Baja'd, or abused. Except for the little bit of surface rust in the paint it's absolutely rust free, always has been! It has just the right amount of Patina; some people might want to paint it, but don't forget -- you can restore a car many times (and most 65 VW's have been) but it's only original once! So just keeping it the way it is would be wonderful. How many 50 year old Bugs do you think are out there with most of their original paint?? If you have ever owned or driven one of these great little cars you know what fun they are. Just running errands around town is all of a sudden fun! A lot of people, including myself restore these cars and most do a good job. But here is a car that has never needed to be restored. Has always been kept in good condition. Every body piece on the car, bumpers, hoods, fenders are the ones it left Germany with in 1965. New pans, brakes, tires and interior three years ago; it's barely been used since then. The only reason the pans were replaced was because like most old Beetles it had some rust under the battery. Instead of just replacing one side both were done to match correctly. All work including the pans and interior was done by a local VW shop that specializes in these cars, so everything was done correctly. Motor runs good though it's been years since it had a full tune-up; it has been updated to 12 Volt and has an alternator. Clean California title. With the prices of "restored" Vintage Beetles going through the roof, this little car is a great value for the money. What else can you buy for the price of a Beetle? Nothing with the history, reliability, and uniqueness. It's hard to believe this little beauty is 50 years old. NO RESERVE AUCTION! This means someone will get this great little car. All inspections must be completed before the end of the auction. No inspections after. Full payment is due three days after the end of the auction ( Five days for European buyers) and I don't take PayPal for payment on cars so please don't ask.
