Vehicle Detail

Hi, this is Don. I am going to run this listing just this one time, I will start selling parts if no one buys. I obtained this truck from my brother, he was going to restore it, but has moved on. The truck is a short bed, V8, 360ci, 727 automatic. The old paint looks terrible, but the body and chassis is in very good cond, it has been kept serviced up, running, and in a garage most of the time for the last 15 years or so. I drove it here the other day, it runs fine, drives well, and everything works. I believe this vehicle can make any drive a buyer would need it to. The title does not have mileage, the speedo says 36,000, it could have been changed, it could be 136,000, I have no idea. Included is nearly all the parts needed to restore this truck, and go a long way to restoring another. I do not know everything that is here, I have looked in the boxes and seen many, many nos parts, many good used parts, no junk. I will probably do much better parting this out, but it's a lot of work and there is so many other things I want to do. Engine; 360 ci, runs well, clean, it will blow a puff smoke when started and then quit. It has a fairly new Holley carb, an extra set of heads and manifolds were bought. Attached to a 727 transmission that works well. Cab; rockers and all seams look totally solid, I only see a little rust on the floorboards underfoot, but solid over at the kick panels. Floorcover was removed years ago to halt corrosion until restore. Original interior in cab is fair, rough spots in bench and dash cover. Windshield has light fog around edges, one 3/4" stone crack, no wiper marks or wear. Bed; this bed has not been worked much, it don't look dented anywhere including all the top edges and inside panels. I know the floor is very straight, undented, and rust free. I see isolated rust at the bottoms under the taillights and some on each side, the most visible is the quarter behind the left rear wheel, I don't see any in the seams of the fender flares. There is a very heavy rubber, OEM floor liner in the bed, I helped cut it to fit the shortbed years back. Underneath; frame is clean, looks rust color, but I don't see any rust buildup or flaking. Looks solid everywhere. Parts; where do I begin? I know the intention was to make a sport truck starting with this standard trim model. I'll tell what I've seen. I see an interior set that I think may be from a Cherokee Chief, I know the buckets were intended for this truck. One bucket is very good, probably passenger, the other has wear and splits in the bottom and the back has a wear spot. The rear seat covers look good, could be used to repair that front bottom. I don't see anything wrong with the fenders on the truck, but there is a new extra set, I don't see anything wrong with the doors on the truck, but a very good set was bought that have power remote mirrors and power windows, in the parts I see many nos window and door weather strips, likely more than needed, nos window and mirror controls. There are many extra door panels with good vinyl, some have poor cardboard. I don't see anything wrong with the hood on the truck, but there is an oem hood, and an aftermarket hood, both painted slate blue from the first J-10 that Steve restored. There is an excellent oem tailgate shell that is blasted and primered, the one on the truck is very dinged up. I have seen things like; nos brake back plates, nos glovebox, a very nice sport steering wheel, lots of replacement rubber items, extra dash instruments, delay wiper unit, two headliners, extra grille shell, grille insert, box of stainless trims. The rear bumper on the truck was bought nos, I recall that it was nearly $500. The oem brush guard is perfect- very rare, there is an oem set of 8" wide plain stamped wheels painted slate blue, also very rare. Update; I decided it wasn't fair to you or me to not have a better idea just what is here, so I opened the boxes, unloaded the bed, and got some much better photos. I put in some photos of the bed because I want you to see just how straight this thing is, I saw only one rust hole inside. I can only put 24 pics on, I have many more photos of parts, I did get most of the nos stuff in. I could send you photos of more parts, and I took more of the bed inside and out, and I took 7 pics under the truck. You could just take my word that I didn't see any rust down there. Here's some of what I see in the boxes; There must be every piece of nos rubber for this truck, all new cab and bed mount, doors, there are 8 glass wipers, enough for 2 sets of doors, tranny mount, seals, gaskets, u joints, 4 speed parts, a set of nice looking cable mirrors, power mirror switches, 2 complete delay units, 2 sets of nos markers, a collect of emblems with at least one nos, looks like everything for AC, 2 bumper jacks- one very nice. Many, many used parts are not seen here, and none are junk. Correction; I'm looking at the title, it does say 113,486 miles. So 136 is likely correct. If you are interested in this outfit but don't bid, don't loose my number because I likely won't run this again. If you do buy, you will need help hauling this, I brought this stuff to my place with the truck bed full, stuff in the cab, and a 10 ft trailer filled. This truck is not set up for pulling a trailer, but of course it could be. Located in Newark Ohio, 43071. You're welcome to email or call with questions; 740 745 3334. Thank you very much.
