Pictured is a 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible that is being offered for sale for the first time. This is a running driving car that has seen very limited use from its current owner. It was purchased in July 1989 and has been garage kept since. When purchased it had 92,950 miles and now registers 95,755 miles. It is legally registered, insured and runs and drives nicely. It is powered by a 200 cubic inch 6 cylinder engine with an automatic transmission. It is equipped with power steering and most of the power components have been replaced. A new exhaust manifold was recently installed ( within the last two weeks ) and the rest of the exhaust system is solid. The brakes were replaced and the car stops nicely. It has a brand new set of tires and the protective blue coating has not even been washed off the white walls. It sports the attractive optional wire wheel covers that enhances the appearance. Although overall it is structurally sound it does have some rust issues. The driver side torque box will need to be patched as will a section of the driver side floor pan ( see picture ) and the front section of the driver side front rail. Both doors have some bubbling at the bottom edges and the passanger side rear quarter panel has some at the bottom edge. None of this has to addressed immediately as the car is structurally sound and can be enjoyed as an attactive driver this summer. It has a manual convetible top mechanism ( as a power top was an option back in 1966 ) and it goes up and down easily. The red bucket seats were recovered and the interior looks good. It has front and rear red seat belts and an AM radio. This would make a great summer cruiser and being the first generation Mustang is a real eye catcher.
