This is certainly one of the nicest bodies I have come across on a truck this vintage. No rust through or patch panels. All original sheetmetal. No evidence of any previous bodywork. Very straight and has good fitment of doors and Hood. Bed is amazing, this truck has never been molested or overused. Same owner since 1976. At that time the truck had recently been repainted. It was used as a weekend driver since then, moved to arizona in 1991, then parked in 2000 and has not been run since. There was nothing mechanically wrong with the truck when parked, but it would now need at least a fuel system rebuild, cooling system rebuild, brake rebuild, and new wiring as the original cloth bound wire has deteriorated. Engine turns over freely, carb was removed for rebuild but that was never done. It comes with the truck. Originally this truck was bright red, there is evidence of the original paint where the brown has peeled off. Grill has a dent that will easily be straightened when rechromed. Doors open and close with ease. Windshield and vent open and close. Windows roll up and down. Truck steers and rolls. Obviously this truck needs a full restoration. You wont find a nicer example to restore. 1946 Chevrolet Pickup 1/2 ton shortbed without Spare mounts. This is certainly one of the nicest bodies I have come across on a truck this vintage. No rust through or patch panels. All original sheetmetal. No evidence of any previous bodywork. Very straight and has good fitment of doors and Hood. Bed is amazing, this truck has never been molested or overused. Same owner since 1976. At that time the truck had recently been repainted. It was used as a weekend driver since then, moved to arizona in 1991, then parked in 2000 and has not been run since. There was nothing mechanically wrong with the truck when parked, but it would now need at least a fuel system rebuild, cooling system rebuild, brake rebuild, and new wiring as the original cloth bound wire has deteriorated. Engine turns over freely, carb was removed for rebuild but that was never done. It comes with the truck. Originally this truck was bright red, there is evidence of the original paint where the brown has peeled off. Grill has a dent that will easily be straightened when rechromed. Doors open and close with ease. Windshield and vent open and close. Windows roll up and down. Truck steers and rolls. Obviously this truck needs a full restoration. You wont find a nicer example to restore. Very desireable short bed without spare tire cutouts, perfect for the Hot Rod truck enthusiast!
