This is a True SS Chevelle from 1966 in the rare Aztec Bronze color with a 99% rust-free body! It was stored in an indoor storage facility since 1996 and never titled or registered, which is why it remained in such great condition. I have a copy of the previous title from 1996 still in the dealership's name to prove it. Anything done to the car was done by the person who owned the car prior to selling it to the dealership that sold it to the previous owner who stored it for the last 19 years. It is now titled in my name with a clean and clear NJ title showing 65,010 miles. The original 12 BOLT REAR is still there! The original 396 motor and 4-speed trans are long gone. Sitting in the engine bay is a early 70's Chevy 350 mated to a turbo 350 trans. Nothing is hooked up. As it was originally a 4 speed car you can see the hole cut out for the shifter in the trans tunnel. Included with the sale are the pair of near new inner fender wells (as seen in the pics), an original '66 SS hood complete with the inserts worth about $300 alone, the speedo cable and grommet, original glove box owner's manual, and a wiring diagram manual. Every single body panel is original, solid, straight as an arrow, and rust free (with the exception of the driver side lower rear quarter panel behind the wheel - which as seen in the pictures has surface rust coming through the paint but doesn't go all the way through to the inside. That , and a quarter sized bubble on the passenger side front fender, also seen in the photos and also surface only, are the only two areas on the car that need rust work done). The frame, floors, trunk, rockers, cowl, etc.-- all rock solid and rust free! There is absolutely no body filler anywhere on the car - take a magnet to any part and you'll see! The paint is in pretty good condition and has no fading or thinning, no peeling of the clear, and if detailed right would show pretty well, but does have chips and nicks particularly in the front fenders and hood area. Every piece of exterior trim and brite-work is right there on the car and in good condition so you won't have to waste time looking for expensive and poorly made aftermarket pieces which probably wouldn't fit right. In the interior, as the pictures will show, the seat covers and padding in the seats are in really good condition. The headliner is in really good shape also but does have a small tear as seen in the photos. The dashboard and dash pad are also good but nothing is hooked up. The car needs carpeting and arm rests, but most everything else is there, from the door handles, window crank handles, the door panels and the interior clips and fasteners, the ashtray, etc. All four windows go up and down perfectly.
