Vehicle Detail
AMC 1959 Rambler ***Reserve is only $6000*** I'm driving it every day, so you can be certain that there are no issues. I have tons of "before" and "during" pics and tons of receipts that will go to the new owner . Clean and clear AZ title in my name; no liens, no salvage. Completely rebuilt 196 inline six; used only NOS AMC parts. Head has been re-torqued, break-in oil change will be done soon. Fires right up, runs like new. NOS Factory Holley one-barrel carb. New Clutch, pressure plate, t/o bearing, and resurfaced flywheel. Radiator was rebuilt, and she runs nice and cool. New gauges; tachometer, water temp, volts, and oil pressure. New rear brakes, including shoes and wheel cylinders. Starter rebuilt, and gear replaced with NOS gear. Alternator/generator gone through, cleaned, and lubricated. Tires are in great shape; factory wheels and hubcaps will be included. Wheels have brand new red powdercoat. Custom interior is brand new red and black; headliner, carpet, seats, doors, and all panels. Body is very straight, and no rust issues. Many spare parts included; mostly interior parts, "Rambler" lettering for grille and trunk, etc. Drives straight and true, steers easily, stops on a dime. Three-on-the-tree works great. All glass is very good, save for a crack on the passenger side of the windshield. I haven't looked for a new windshield for two reasons: 1) Any good old car or truck worth its salt has a cracked windshield. I figure they earned them. 2) There is an old "Grand Canyon State Park" parking permit sticker on it, and there's no way I'm gonna rob the car of that. Bright/dim headlights and switch function properly Tail lights and brake lights function properly Turn signals and switch function properly. Doors open and close properly. Windows roll up and down with ease. Wing windows open, close, and lock. New red "aircraft" style seatbelts included, but not installed. Factory Service Manual AND Supplement. Owners Manual Factory spare in trunk ***Worth mentioning*** There is a "squeak" in the shifter linkage that I haven't been able to locate yet, but I haven't really tried. The nice red interior kick panels need a little "fine tuning" in order to fit properly... Ditto for the rear door panels.I have no idea how long it has been since the gearbox or differential oil has been replaced, so that should be done. I don't have a lift *yet* or I'd do it...Speedometer is not working. Haven't checked it out... well... because three-speed inline six. : )
