I bought this car on Ebay 3 years ago with 3800 miles on it in Georgia. Carfax gave it a clean bill of health, no accidents, no issues. I'm told it was stored for several years prior to my buying it but that the man I bought it from had "taken are of some issues from that storage" This included new tires, good ones, but not run flat. He included a "Green Slime" brand fix a flat kit. I had it looked over by a body man and he tells me it was rather expertly repainted in the original color, but that there was no sign of any collision damage. Why was it repainted? I have to assume it incurred some surface damage, perhaps from being stored without a cover. This theory is born out by the fact that they also painted the Targa top, usually left unpainted. All I know for sure is that it runs great and drives perfectly. People are astonished that it is 15 years old. I had the tire sensors replaced and an air conditioning valve replaced, as it stuck. In addition, the CD changer in the back ate 2 of my favorite CDs and so I replaced it with an adapter that allows my Iphone to play music directly into the Bose stereo. I have put 5000 trouble-free miles on in the last 3 years. It is a joy to drive, although my 6' 2" old body has some struggle getting in and out of it! There is no key fob, that can be purchased from the dealer. Excellent car overall. I would drive it anywhere, and I have. Stored indoors in a heated building, under a cover. Newer driven in winter. It is 15 years old, so not perfect. A little trim piece inside the right door pull (inside) is missing. Easy replacement. A slight crack in the armrest leather cover. I got replacement leather cover but didn't get around to installing it. a small repaired crack in the Targa top. No chips, no hits, nothing significant. The top is removable and stows in the back of the car. Includes a cover for the car, as shown, and a cover for the top as well. The car drives great and looks great. The 6 speed transmission is great and only turns ~1700 rpm at 70 mph, giving 26-32 mpg on the highway. This is a rare car in that it is stock, no modifications. 350 cu. in. 345 hp. Aluminum LS1 engine. Transmission in rear for weight and balance. The hatchback design provides much more storage room than I expected. One one trip we had 2 big suitcases plus smaller stuff in the back. See the pictures for more.
