Vehicle Detail
Nice Slate Niner. No rust, all original. Runs and shifts great. Selling due to having too many vehicles. While it looks like this jeep got off to a rough start in its life after coming across to USA from Canada, its a good original jeep to have some fun with. No rust on underbody. I am not the original owner but purchased the vehicle localy for a winter driver. The truck runs great and shifts great also. I have done some recent maintenance to the Jeep. Everything works except as noted below, Jeep does get the occasional "coolant sensor" error message in the VIC common to the 5.9 models, but goes away after awhile or sometimes doesn't show up at all. Idles smoothly all day long at 195 degrees. Jeep retains its factory exhaust system. Even has the drivers self dimming rear view mirror that still works! A/C works but I need to add a can of refrigerant to make really cold. Heat works wonderful in winter. 1) Replaced rear rotors and brake pads and emergency brake shoes. 2) replaced front brake rotors and pads. 3) Replaced passenger side front axles shaft. 4) Replaced both front wheel bearing hubs 5) Replaced the radiator, water pump and thermostat. 6) New serpentine belt and tensioner These are the things that would need to be addressed; 1) Headliner fabric was removed since it was sagging throughout due to the FL humidity. Headliner and rear sound panel left in place. Visors were Ok, so they were left alone. 2) Rear end whine at about 45 mph. I am thinking rear wheel bearings as I recently changed the rear differential fluid (added Lucas Synthetic) and it had no shavings or metallic particles inside. 3) Probably needs control arms in the rear. Its a little loose. (Corrected - was the rear track bar and this has been replaced). Now Ok. 4) Front driveshaft was disconnected and came with jeep when I bought it. Previous owners said did not need AWD in FL so they removed it. It goes with the Jeep. I have never hooked it up to know the condition of the front differential. So that is unknown. 5) Tires tread very good - tread OK depth-wise but showing some weather wear. 6) rear hatch popper is disconnected for some reason and I have not replaced. Not sure why but it throws a error message in the VIC if hooked up. So, probably need to replace that. 7) Sunroof switch "Sticks" occasionally, but does eventually work. Have not had time to investigate this. 8) Front seats are a little dried out from FL heat. I have been applying "Lexol" to bring them back and it is working, but they are not yet as soft as the rears. 9) Spare tire is 16" but not on a stock 5.9 / Niner rim. 10) Factory grill was cracked in many places and falling apart, so I replaced with chrome grill to match the lettering and emblems. I have described this vehicle to the best of my knowledge and welcome you to come and test drive etc if in the area. All sales are final. Please ask your questions before you buy rather than after.
