Vehicle Detail

This is a complete and total restoration of a 1967 Honda CL77, 305 Scrambler. I have owned this motorcycle for 30 years. It has 8094 original miles, was restored in 2002, at 5239 miles. This is a no expense spared restoration, using the highest quality paints, chrome, zinc plating and stainless steel where ever possible. All finishes are professionally executed. This bike has won awards in nearly every show it has been entered. Also it is a dependable rider that you can ride to show, and ride home. It has been kept as part of a collection in a temperature and humidity controlled, carpeted environment. All silver panels are powder coated including clear coat to protect against stone chips and scratching. Powder coating by Keith at Kool Change Perceptions, Hartland, MI.The fuel tank is clean and painted in two part base coat/clear coat Urethane paint to protect from stains and damage caused by modern gasoline, by Premium Auto Body, Clarkston, MI.Frame and all black parts are also powder coated and clear coated by Kool Change Perceptions. This allows you to actually use this bike without worry, both as a show bike and a rider. All Chrome parts (except the two exhaust pipes and muffler) have been professionally stripped and re-plated in show chrome by ABC Custom Chrome, Waterford, MI.All Bright metal parts have been stripped and re-plated in white zinc by Mid-State Plating, Flint Mi.Engine and transmission professionally disassembled, serviced and rebuilt by Phil White, AKA The Doctor of Hondas, Waterford, MI. Phil is internationally recognized as a master restorer of Honda 305 Scramblers and CB750's.Wheels are laced in polished stainless steel spokes and nipples from Buchanan. All fasteners, where ever possible, have been replaced by stainless steel. Any other fastener has been stripped and replated in zinc. All service parts, fork seals, wheel bearings, brake pads, cables, etc.have been replaced with new.The seat and pan are totally restored, including new foam and cover with strap, in matching original grain, color and contour. All aluminum parts professionally polished to bright finish by ABC Custom Chrome, Waterford, MI.Nearly all rubber parts replaced with NOS or quality reproductions.New battery and engine oil are fresh this spring.Original tool kit and bag are included.Rare original Honda 300 tank badges, and correct gray spark plug wire caps, and fuel lines. Also included are a copy of the official Honda CL77 Parts catalog, with all schematics and part numbers, Bill Silver's Honda 250-305 Engine repair Guide, and his Restoration Reference Guide (both are a wealth of information).A dust cover and battery tender are also included. The bike has a few minor cosmetic flaws, and are as follows; The rubber knee pad on the left side of gas tank has a horizontal split about 1 1/2" long near the bottom. The front fender has two small (1/2") scratches, one at the front leading edge, the other is under the triple tree between the two fender brace mounting bolt heads, and a small stone chip (1/16" dia.). The kick start rubber has a lip on the end that is starting to tear. The clear coat on the clutch cover is starting to 'craze', you have to get the light in just the right angle to see it. The last one is on the front rim next to the inner tube nipple, where three small flecks (less than 1/4" dia) of chrome have flaked off the inner ring of the rim, exposing the copper plating under the chrome. Feel free to contact me and I will forward clear photos of above flaws.Otherwise this bike is as perfect as the day the restoration was completed, no disappointments!
