In 1966 the Delta 88 was the top of the line model for this series and this car is a stunning example of why these were so desirable. This 1966 Oldsmobile Delta 88 convertible is in excellent condition inside and out. Loaded with options, this convertible can comfortably be driven anywhere with confidence. The paint shows very well and is in lovely condition. There are no visible flaws in the paint or signs of rust or body filler. The car has been painted recently and is the correct original color (Porcelain White). All of the weather stripping is either new or in very good condition. The chrome bumpers are in very good condition and show well. The stainless trim is in good condition. The chrome on the "pot metal" trim is in good condition but does show some pitting and mild patina. It is very presentable and not a candidate for replacement at this time. The floors and trunk are solid. The underside is clean and presents well. The interior of this car is immaculate and newly finished in the correct Blue. The interior also sports the correct blue premium seat belts! The plastic armrest frame on the drivers side door has some chrome flaked off, but the padding is excellent. The dash is excellent. The steering wheel, all gauges, bezels, and dash components show very well and are in excellent condition. This car also has the very cool "SPEEDO-ALERT" feature, which is the original factory speed alarm that can be set at a desired speed. All window glass is in great shape and the windows operate smoothly. All lights, horn, gauges, wipers, etc are working well as they should. THIS CAR ALSO HAS FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING!!! The POWER TOP is in excellent condition and working perfectly. It is also believed to be the original color for the top which looks amazing on this car. Under the hood, the car is powered by the ORIGINAL 425 cid Super Rocket v8 High Comp engine. This IS the ORIGINAL ENGINE for this car and can be verified by the Protect-O-Plate! The engine runs very strong, doesnt smoke, and doesnt leak. The engine compartment is detailed nicely and shows well. Under the hood there are still original factory markings as seen in the photos! The transmission is the ORIGINAL Turbo-Hydramatic and shifts smoothly. The brakes and suspension have been inspected by our shop and are in excellent condition. This car is ready to drive. The vehicle sits atop upgraded aluminum wheels and new tires which give the car a very cool stance. The original wheels and hubcaps are available with the car if the new owner wished. The title states 68,xxx ACTUAL MILES on this cream puff. As for other documentation, it doesnt get much better than the ORIGINAL PROTECT-O-PLATE AND OWNERS BOOK WITH ORIGINAL PURCHASE DOCUMENTS. The MATCHING Protect-O-Plate is the link that proves this engine in this car is ORIGINAL! Overall this car is a lovely cruiser with some great factory options and great documentation.
