Hello! Amazing opportunity to own this 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4WD Police Package. I am a State Trooper here in North Carolina and i bought this jeep when it was retired this year from our fleet. This is the last year of this body style jeep and this thing is spectacular. I have the original window sticker that shows all the options and police group. It was maintained perfectly over the years by our garage who services all our patrol cars. The mileage is low due to it being a foul weather use vehicle. It was equipped with all our normal computers and gear just used in rain and snow and occasional spare vehicle use. One of the coolest things it has is the EXT IDLE button on the console which raises the idle or neutral rpm for things like winches or any other powered item. The transmission and engine perform flawlessly and there are no leaks. I am going to list the things i did to it when i got it. First and foremost. A rough Country 3" lift model # is 630XN2...you can google that and see the entire kit. It included new leaf springs in the back instead of add a leaf. 4 2.0 Shocks, Front Springs, Sway bar drop for the front. I replaced the saggy gray headliner with a brand new black headliner. It has a new battery. All new brake components in the front. Rotors, calipers brake pads and brake lines. New spark plugs. Brand New BF Goodrich All-Terrain 31 x 10.5 x 15's. The A/C performs flawlessly and was serviced. 3 new wipers. Of course the rear hatch struts were bad so i replaced those. I left the paint original from when they removed the State Trooper Vinyl stickers (you can still read State Trooper on the rear hatch and front doors. So the paint can be buffed out on the sides to be like new or you can leave it. The top of the truck and hood paint will need to be painted due to the heat here over the years. Otherwise it is in very good shape. There is a hole in the passengers side rear where the antennae was. I will include the antennae ball that fills the hole. The floors are ALL vinyl as well. Just the way a jeep should be. The passengers seat and rear seat are in like new condition. The driver seat is soil free as well but does have a small tear in the bottom and back due to our equipment on our waist. I had the truck aligned of course when i had the tires put on. I rides great and there is no roar or squeaking of any kind. Windows and locks operate as they should. It has the factory tint on the rear windows. Leather wrapped steering wheel. Cruise. The great things that come with these police packages are the Heavy duty Cooling with auxiliary transmission oil cooler. Has the selec-trac full time 4 system and trac-lok differential. 124 amp alternator. You can see these on the original window sticker. There are no surprises with this. Only a very RARE opportunity to own one. There are a ton of things i would love to do to this jeep just no time to do it. There are a couple of screw holes in the rear storage area from computer equipment that was there. All fillable. I am setting the reserve way below what it will sell for so it will sell. If i forget anything i will add to this. I did not shine up the paint or the bumper corners. These are things you can do to finish it off. I am going to try to find out today the axle ratio from a local jeep dealer as well. The question was why is there no roof rack on the jeep. The roof is slick because it was ordered as a police fleet vehicle. There was a bar light on it and of course it was removed when we took it out of service. So there was never a roof rack on The vehicle.
