For sale: 1941 Ford Tudor Sedan (Phoenix, AZ).***RESERVE IS ONLY $1600*** Good Arizona Title in my name; no lien, no salvage. Very restorable condition. The car is 74 years old, so just about everything that is not metal has disintegrated (and there is no glass, but everything with the exception of the back window is flat). It is totally original, inside and out (with the obvious exception of the wheels). Seat frames are solid, and tilt forward with ease. The drivetrain is complete. The engine is a flathead six. I pulled the head (notice that the engine pic is missing the nuts), and the cylinders and valves look really good. Valves are very clean, and the Ford logo is clean and sharp on the valve faces. The cylinders show no signs of ever having seen moisture, and there is no pitting. All of that said, the engine does not want to turn. The transmission shifts, and the car rolls freely when in neutral. The steering works easily. I have the original steering wheel. The body is very straight considering its age. There is significant rust in the usual locations; bottom of doors, door sills, and the very rearmost part of the trunk, closest to the bumper....but aside from those specific locations, the body is very solid. This car has the same wheelbase as a modern Crown Victoria, which uses body-on-frame construction. I planned to swap the body from the ’41 onto the Crown Vic (250 hp P71 interceptors are cheap and plentiful), and sell the rolling frame and drivetrain. I am still interested in doing that, so if the car doesn't sell I will take offers on just the rolling frame and drivetrain.
