For Sale: 1983 Honda CB1000C Interstate Touring model with 23,367 original miles. Bike is in overall excellent condition and would easily be rated somewhere between an 8 and a 9 on a 10 point scale. I admit that I am a little biased on these bikes. I simply believe them to be some of the nicest bikes to ever come out of Japan, especially aesthetically. This one is pretty well loaded except for a radio which it does not have. There are a few very minor scratches in the paint but mainly on the luggage and a couple of very small ones on the tank. You really have to hunt to find any others. There is one very small crack in a corner on one of the suitcases which you can barely see that has no effect on functionality. The pipes are excellent and but for some very minor pitting near the rosettes, look like new and are very solid with no rust. The seat could probably pass for new. The Honda paint on the back is even intact with no marks, tears, or blemishes of any kind. The tires look like new and still have some of the little rubber dimples on them. Bike has been garage stored as part of my modest collection for approximately 9 years and has recently been brought back to life with an entire fuel system flush with the petcock and carbs completely rebuilt. The battery is new as are the bar grips as well as a brand new Slip Streamer windshield installed in the fairing. The engine runs beautifully and the bike rides and sounds great with no leaks no smoke and no unusual noises. If I were looking to take a cross country tour, I would not hesitate to take this bike anywhere. I have all the keys and all of the locks work perfectly. Also included are the original owner’s manual and tool kit. Please bid only if you are serious and can complete the transaction if you win. I am a little sad to have to let this bike go but age and health tell me that it’s time to let some other lucky owner enjoy this bike. And enjoy it he or she will.
