Update 3/22 ---- I have been driving this truck around daily the past few days and this is by far the best running, best shifting Defender I have owned, ever. The shifting is smooth and tight and the motor while a 2.5 na doesn't feel like it. It is incredibly responsive and accelerates better than any 2.5 I have driven and if I didn't know better, I'd say it performs like a turbo. This is a definite steal for someone at this level. If I weren't in the middle of a lhd, auto conversion / restore project, I would take the top off this and keep it in my garage. This truck is a rare find...... This is a great truck to have for the up coming warm weather on the beach with the top down! All the typical 'problem' areas are solid....bulkhead, doors, frame, foot wells, rear cross member and the rest. There is NO rust anywhere. New brakes and new top installed as well. I have seen a lot of these trucks and this one is by far one of the nicest there is. Truly a turn key, original Defender to own for a first time or experienced owner alike.
