I am selling my 1969 Firebird Convertible as I am moving to Florida and do not want to take it. If it does not sell I will move it. It has been in my garage for the last 12 years. I was going to do some clean up of the car and just make it a week end car. There are fewer and fewer of these convertibles around. Restored they are worth big bucks. I last drove the car when I moved to California. I removed the radio, which I have, and replaced it with a different radio. I had the car trailered to and from California. So I did not drive it. I drove the car week ends in California for 5 years and came back to NJ in 2002. I tried to start the car but it would not start. And the radiator leaked. So I had disconnected the radiator and filled the car with antifreeze. It has around 115,000 miles on it. The previous owner was my daughter who bought it from the original owner. So the car has been in a garage more or less for the past 20 years. The paint is in pretty good shape as I had the car painted in California. The color is metallic blue and the interior is two tone blue. It is good enough to drive weekends but not show quality. There is some body filling in the rear quarter panels. You can not see I from the outside but it is there. The front floor panels have been replaced. I have everything original for the car. I was going to really fix it up but time has run out for me so this can be your project. I'm sure that you will have a great car when you are done. . Tires are pretty good. Needs new wheels instead of the standard ones that are on the car. Had new brake lines put in. Needs a new top. Bumpers have some surface rust but not bad. I have the convertible cover. I wanted to clean out the transmission, clean out the engine, re do the chrome, get the seats fixed and then I would be good to go. Again my objective was to have a cool car for week ends. And I even have a new battery for you. You will need to trailer the car from Califon NJ. It will not start. The starting bid will be $4000. The buy it now price is 5,000.
