This beautiful Beetle is originally from New Mexico. My local VW repairman bought it and restored it in 2000. I bought it from him then. It was garaged from Nov.-Apr. until 2013. For the last two winters it has been off the road and under its own car cover. The odometer read 47,241 when I bought it and now reads 54,534. The engine, transmission, front end, and brakes were all rebuilt in 2000. Also as part of the restoration, new vinyl upholstery was installed on bucket front seats, rear bench, and door panels. It also got a new Sony AM/FM radio with cassette and 6" Pioneer speakers in the doors but the radio didn't work for long. I never looked into why not. There are front and rear seatbelts and the car is smoke-free.The car was appraised for $8000 when I bought it. In July of 2012 the following work was done: Installed new front brake drums, cleaned and resurfaced brakes; replaced leaking fuel lines and fuel filter; replaced front ball joints. In March of 2014 the battery was replaced. In September of 2014 the following work was done: replaced front left brake hose and wheel cylinder, new left door foil, and passenger side headlight assembly. Extras include: car cover and bag, leather steering wheel cover, wood shift knob as well as original, spare hubcaps, windshield sunscreen, and installed console with cupholders. It drives beautifully and as you will see in the pictures, it's a real gem. Shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer. I will be willing to meet within a 50 mile radius of Boston.
