Vehicle Detail

Great car to drive to shows or for fun. Older restoration that looks good and drives very well. Not a number matching car, but a nicely put together 409 - 340 HP with factory air (not working, but have all of the parts in boxes). This is a solid car with a very nice paint job - 3 coats Ember Red and 2 clear. The car has NOT been modified, but rather kept as original as possible. Car has been driven less than 1,000 miles per year since restored. It needs nothing to proudly drive to cruise nights. But, here's what you might want to pay attention to: Window felts, small tear in headliner (rear right), and there are two areas by the rear wheel wells where there is just the start of slight blistering (I have an estimate to have it dealt with...or I could help with shipping the car to you and let you take care of it). You'll see from the pics that there is no rust anywhere where it counts (pay particular attention to pics underneath the car). I change the oil every year, and it never is down a bit. Every gauge works except the clock. The green "COLD" light even lights up until the engine warms up. Under the hood is the 409, factory air compressor, power steering and power brakes. The 4-speed manual transmission makes it a ball to drive. The car only has 13,200 miles since the restoration, and the engine was rebuilt at the same time. The exhaust was replaced from the manifolds back with stainless (2 1/2 inch, of course), and it has that great throaty sound that makes 409's special. If you're looking for a great looking red 409 that needs very little, and don't want to pay north of $30,000 for the privilege, the low reserve on this 1964 will make it possible for you. Please do not bid unless you are going to buy this vehicle. You are not bidding to come see the vehicle, if you are the highest bidder. You are bidding to buy it. A $1,000 non-refundable deposit via PayPal is due from the winning bidder within 48 hours of the end of the auction. The balance must be paid by wiring the money. I do not accept bank or cashier's checks at all. The car is currently garaged in Massachusetts, and is for sale locally.
