Vehicle Detail

I just upgraded from my 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid to a newer Civic Hybrid, so I must say goodbye to the old one. I have taken care of the car, and it has taken care of me. I just waxed it with NuFinish in March. The oil has been changed regularly at Honda. Tires are new 90,000 mile Michelin Defenders in Oct 2014. Brakes are good, and hardly wear, due to the regenerative braking. Everything works. A/C, cruise, P/W, PDL, power mirrors, ABS, rear defroster I installed a removable face Pioneer AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth stereo with USB and aux/ipod inputs. Auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass. Extra 12v outlet and dual USB outlets. Both airbag inflators and the drivers seatbelt were just replaced by Honda under warranty/recall. The CVT works fine, no issues with the trans or engine. I have the Carfax in hand, and the only problem is a minor accident, no airbags deployed, and I had to replace the radiator. If you are wondering if getting a hybrid is worth it, check this out. If you drive 18,000 miles a year, and gas is $2.75 per gallon, and you currently get 23mpg, then this car will save you over $1000.00 per year on gas! That will pay for itself fast! If you currently get less than 30mpg, you will save even more! I have averaged 46mpg over the last 4400 miles in mostly suburban driving. mpg's are better in the summer than in the winter. All the suspension is good. 4 wheel alignment was done with the new tires. 12v battery was replaced last summer with an Interstate battery. The IMA (hybrid) battery was professionally refurbished by Best Hybrid Batteries in Joliet in Oct 2014. All 3 o2 sensors were replaced in Oct 2014. The engine air filter and the cabin air filter are clean. I won't say "these cars last forever", but this car is ready to provide lots of high mpg driving. I found a bit of rust on the driver's side rear wheel well, and I sanded, primed, and painted it.
