Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1991 Toyota Plow Truck. Reason for selling is that I have way too many vehicles to maintain, I'm getting a commercial snow blower to take up less space, and I do not have time to do the work needed on this truck due to my work schedule. Originally had this on the road until I blew a rear brake line. After inspecting the whole brake line system, I came to the conclusion that all the lines needed to be replaced due to rust. The only one I could salvage was the front driver side which left me with only one working brake. This is when it became my driveway plow truck for the last 2 yrs. It has been running this past winter on 4 cylinders due to 2 clogged injectors. It starts and runs fine every time and very reliable. Actually plows well running on 4 Cylinders. The bad first: 1) Cylinders number 3 and 5 have bad or clogged injectors. There is spark at both but plugs are dry when pulled. Getting at the injectors is too time consuming for my work schedule because the intake manifold has to be removed to access them. Doesn't look like a fun job. Also, there sounds like a slight exhaust manifold gasket leak/blow by from cylinder number 5 area. Did not affect how it ran when it was running on all 6 cylinders. 2) All brake lines and MAYBE calipers need to be replaced. Brakes worked very well. 3) Typical Northeast rust on frame and body. 4) Tailgate does not close. 5) Drivers side plow blade is slightly bent. Bought the truck with it like that already. Was such a good deal I didn't care. 6) Air Conditioning does not work. 7) Rear cab sliding window siliconed shut. Bought it like that. Now for the good: 1) Amazingly the frame is solid as these typically are destroyed by rust. See the rear frame pics. This is the area that usually gets the worst of it. You can see surface rust but still very solid. 2) Plow works fine. Lights and all angles function as they should. 3) 6 1/2 FT Fisher Electric/Hydraulic Plow System 4) Manual transmission works fine, clutch is fine and all gears mesh and shift as they should. 5) 4 Wheel Drive works fine and engages as it should. Front wheel lockouts work as they should also. 6) All lights, heater and all things electrical work as they should (except the air conditioning) 7) New starter installed last fall. 8) Tires have 60% tread left. 9) Hood and doors open and close as they should. 10) All drivetrain components work as they should, no issues with u-joints and no vibrations or weird noises. THERE IS NO SHIPPING FOR THIS TRUCK UNLESS YOU ARRANGE IT. I WILL BE HAPPY TO ASSIST. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY PREFERRED.
