Fairly low production model and not a bunch of these cars are still left around, and far less of them are in good condition.1966 Star Chief Executive, this car was built in Doraville, Georgia and spent its life in Mississippi. This car is solid, the only rust I can find is the trunk pan, see photo. Rest of car is solid, no rust on rear quarters, floor pans solid, frame solid, typical southern car!!! Has had one repaint, 7 out 10, looks great at 15 feet, gets a lot of thumbs up at stop lights and rolling down the road. Glass all good, all chrome in place and looks good, bumpers have a little bit of flaking. This car was optioned up in the engine department, it has the optional YF 325HP engine, which is the high compression 4 barrel carburetor engine. Standard was the 290HP 2 barrel carburetor engine. See build sheet photos. A few brochures come with the car. Engine starts and runs great, purrs like a kitten. Installed a new carb. and new distributer, but have the originals. Car has power steering and automatic tranny. Car has original interior, it is in good shape for age, dash has a couple of cracks in it. See photos. This is NOT a perfect car and is not priced at a perfect car level. This car is fun to drive and looks good going down the road and would make a great entry level car to show or take to cruise in's. AC all there but does not work, radio does not work, brakes stop car and pedal is solid but car has a slight pull to the right when braking, little things that need some tinkering with. I do believe that this is a true 66,000 mile car do to the condition, of frame and floor pans, in fact I believe this car may still have the original exhaust system!!! If your looking for a good looking entry level Pontiac that does not have a ton of outstanding decent examples left in this model, that is solid and at a decent price then please consider this car. The only reason I am selling it is because my wife wants her garage space back.Car has clean KY title with no liens and has KY historic tag. Collector car insurance on it is cheap. Fun Facts: 1966 last year Star Chief was used by Pontiac, only year Star Chief Executive was used by Pontiac. Only 45,212 Star Chief Executive where made.
