1999 Land Rover Range Rover HSE 4.6 Luxury SUV In 1999 Land Rover built the award winning Range Rover HSE 4,6 Luxury SUV. It originally sold in the $60k range. This is a very low miles, clean vehicle with a few issues. Great starting point for a serious off roader or around town luxury vehicle. The Good: Only 90777 miles Troublesome air suspension replaced with a $2000 spring system Passed Oregon DEQ on 7/2013 Starter replaced at 90577 miles Alternator and jockey pulley replaced at 90140 miles BecM replaced, a $3000 computer Heater core O rings replaced No tears in leather seats Only 6k miles put on the vehicle in the past 4 years New $300 Optima battery The Not So Good: The RF receiver is not working so remote key fob doesn't work, the vehicle must be locked and unlocked with the key Tires have about 15% tread left Sunroof doesn't open Lower rear hatch works intermittently, I was told it needs to be opened up and lubricated The stereo doesn't work, probably a fuse Land Rover recommends that the head gasket be replaced with a thicker gasket. I never had any leaks or problems and kept the coolant topped off
