Vehicle Detail

Hi guys, I listed this for sale last month but removed the posting within an hour as I really don't want to sell my car but at this point I need to. Up for sale is my clean title 2001 Porsche 911 Carrera convertible. It’s got the best color combination for its model and also comes with a 6 speed manual (NOT automatic/tiptronic) which is how every Porsche should be equipped! It also has all the options you'd want such as power seats, heated seats, navigation (rare option), multi CD player, full leather (not the usual half leather/plastic), etc. As you can see from the pictures below, it’s in excellent shape. There have been no known accidents, body or paint work done to it. The headlights are clear and aren’t fogged up like others. I can only spot 3 scratches (pictured below). The seats are very firm and don’t have any tears. The interior is in great shape – it’s very clean and not greased up with Armor All (true car fanatics know never to use that stuff). It’s been kept clean by simply being wiped with a mildly damp microfiber cloth on the dash, seats, interior panels, etc. The convertible top is also in great shape. It was purchased from Rector Porsche (Burlingame, CA) as a CPO back in 2007, and I believe most of the maintenance has been preformed there as well. Since it’s the 2001 model, you don't have to worry about any of the issues the 1999 and 2000 model year. As mentioned, it runs and drives great, but it does have 3 flaws. The first is that it has some minor rock chips on the front bumper. The second is the rear trunk doesn’t stay open by itself, it needs a hood strut ($40 for the pair?). The alternative is to keep the hood open with a broomstick lol. The third is traces of oil in the reservoir tank. I looked at it and believe it may need a new cooler or oil vapor separator to rectify the issue. Parts and labor may run about $1,800. I'm assuming this is the issue, but can't give any guarantees and therefore selling the car “as is”. Again, as is it runs great, doesn't overheat, idles fine, etc. but will use some coolant. I have been simply removing the oil traces from the coolant as it'll rise to the top and is easy to remove as is. Lastly, the convertible top sometimes requires a little push for it to open. Synthetic oil change completed last week. Clean title in hand, with both sets of keys. I’m home throughout the day and can be flexible with any shipping company assuming it’s not early in the morning. Locals feel free to check out the car in person, I’m located in Hayward, CA. It passed smogged earlier this month without any issues and registration is paid until next year. Payment must clear before releasing the vehicle and title. If paying the full amount through PayPal, buyer must pay the fees. I’m selling because I need a larger car…Feel free to email me any questions - I'm online most of the day and can respond quickly. Thanks and good luck! I put down that it sometimes "needs a push". To be clear, the soft top is fully automated by simply pressing a button. During the last 30 times I've put the top and down, I had to give it a push just once. Therefore, you'll most likely not have an issue with this, but as a result of it needed a push just once I felt that I should mentioned that - even though it very rare.
