I haven't been driving it much lately so it's time for someone else to enjoy. This is not a low mile survivor that you would feel guilty about using, this bus is a driver ready for fun. Features: Currently registered vintage 1965 Oklahoma "BUS" license plate (school or city bus plate). Wolfgang international long axel lowering kit and drop spindles. I am also including the original spindles and gear reduction drive. Original 14" wheels with almost new tires. Front retractable shoulder belts out of Rabbit. 2000 watt power inverter under rear seat. 3rd brake light is a VW reverse light with a red Hella lens. All lights work inside and out. All gauges work. All locks work. Horn works. Engine: 1641cc with a Dellorto DRLA 36. Dog house oil cooler. Remote oil filter. 12 volt alternator. Dual mufflers. About 40k miles on engine and trans. Runs great and shifts smooth. Replaced: Tail and turn lenses. Drivers windshield. Deck lid. Most body and glass rubber. Bumpers. It had minor front end damage (front bumper ends pushed in). So I replaced the dog legs, the lower front sheet metal (behind the bumper), and the front floor pan outer corners. Issues: Needs new wing window latches. Time for oil change. Clear coat starting to peel. Windshield wipers move slow. Steering center pin has a little play. The only significant rust is on the rear jack point outriggers and some bubbling at the rocker panel area. This bus is over all a solid driver that can be enjoyed as is, or could be made as nice as your wallet allows. I think this is a very fare opening bid for a cool looking bus you can fire right up and drive to the store, or to work, or a friends house, or a VW meet, or....... $1,000 PayPal down payment due at end of auction, vehicle pick up and remaining balance due within 7 days with bank account transfer only. Along with the original spindles and gear reduction drive, you'll get a few other parts and shop manual. No trades and I don't have to sell, so if I don't get a fare price, then my bus stays.
