Vehicle Detail
Here is a very nice dune buggy. I bought this about a year and a half ago. It has been by far the best buggy that I have ever had. You can tell that it was definitely professionally built. Not sure of the chassis manufacturer, but it is very nicely done. All visible welds have been smoothed. Three piece fiberglass body fits well and is easily removed. I repainted the body about a year ago with base/clear Hugger orange and white. Chassis still looks good with normal wear and tear. Motor runs very strong, but I am unsure of the displacement. Has a nice lopey cam. No knocks or strange noises. Does not smoke. I just put new plugs in two weeks ago. Transmission is excellent. Has a short throw shifter that works great. Does not pop out of gear like many do. Brand new Optima battery recently installed. Buggy has four wheel disc brakes. I believe they are Wilwood. 10" Weld wheels on rear and 3.5" on front. Wheels and tires were installed a couple of years ago. Tires are still like new. All of the lights work as they should. Turn signals and brake lights work fine. High beam and low beam. Aluminum roof console holds most of the switches. Center console holds the ignition switch and the gauges. Moon pedals up front with dual brake reservoirs. Has brake bias also. CD player with dual speakers and amp. Interior is very nicely done too. Seats have suede inserts that are attractive looking and easy to clean. This is very nice buggy for the money. You will not be disappointed when you see it. Everything is well thought out and the fit and finish is impressive. It does have wear and tear that is expected with a buggy that has been used and enjoyed. Speaker wires were chewed into by a puppy that we had. There is a rub mark on the left fiberglass side panel. The paint looks like it has separated from the seam also. I would not hesitate to drive it home. This has been a nice buggy but it is time to go on to the next toy. I've taken care of it and made it nicer that it was when I got it. I've always stored it in a garage or carport. If you have any questions please call. I'll answer all questions honestly.
