note to bidders: This bike is located in Akron, OH. I am listing this bike for my son who is a volunteer in the United States Peace Corps in east Africa. The bike has a free and clear Washington State title in his name, ready for transfer to the successful bidder. Please note this bike was converted for track use meaning the painted body parts were replaced with Catalyst Supersport race bodywork plastic, lights have been removed, side stand removed and many parts replaced with 'track versions" including the tires. It would not be difficult to return the bike to street legal but not all of the removed street parts were retained. If this is your plan, contact me for extra photos or we can discuss over the phone. Take-off stock parts which are included in the auction are shown in one of the photos. photos show bike at Portland International track days, stored in my son's living room (yes, he's a bachelor), major receipts scanned into photos. this bike would be a fantastic starting point for a cafe builder as it has only break-in miles on it and a shopping cart full of suspension, brake, controls and other goodies already installed. So with about $25k invested in this bike somebody will get the buy of the year on this NO RESERVE auction starting at about what it cost to upgrade and tune out the suspension alone! 2010 BMW S1000RR This bike has over $10k invested in the best components available to make it track-ready. My son purchased it from Ducati of Seattle in 2012 with 1842 miles. He paid over $15k out the door for an essentially new, one-owner, nicely-optioned and, dealer serviced 1000RR. After riding it on the road for a year, he had the dealer convert it for track use. miles, 100% ready-to-ride and in top shape. He was so busy last year that he only had time for 2 track days last year. Now he'll be out of the country for the next couple years so the toy has to go. Track conversion work performed and maintained by EDR Performance of Beaverton, OR. Bike ridden only a few track days at Portland International Raceway in 2013 Never actually raced, just ridden in learner's mode on amatuer days Regular Castrol R4 full synthetic 5w40 oil changes Best-available components used for conversion (see service orders attached) Drilled and safety wired per OMRRA spec. You can take it straight to the track. Sean learned to ride track on this bike so, obviously it was ridden carefully accumulating a few hundred miles with his "C group" learner's permit. It shows some minor damage to the plastic from loading/unloading into it's toy hauler. The plastic has a ding or two. He had one 30mph low-side drop which required replacement of the right ignition cover and right case cover by EDR. Here's the major parts for conversion to track-worthy by EDR (receipts scanned into photos): K-tech 25mm SSK Front fork kit and K-tech race springs ($1500) K-tech 35mm DDS Rear shock ($1700) Galfer Slotted Rotors ($650) EBC race-spec brake pads ($200) Catalyst Supersport Race Bodywork ($900) Akrapovic slip on silencer ($900) Cox Racing radiator oil cooler installed with Silkolene Pro Cool Collant ($350) Attack Performance adjustable rear sets ($600) Sebimoto aluminum subframe Woodcraft 55mm clip ons ($160) Drive systems sprockets 16/45 ($100)- perfect gearing for the ridge and Portland International Raceway RK Gold 520 race chain ($160) CRG collapsable clutch lever & shorty brake lever Dunlop slicks with a few track days left GBR racing sliders and frame protectorsLap counter and 12v battery Nothing has been done to the engine--Sean advises you will be the fastest bike at the track as it is! Feedback of 10 or under? You must email me with a phone number so we can discuss my terms and conditions. Scammers? Don't waste your time. I do have a question for the last scammer who took an unsuccessful run at me. If your late father was the president of Sri Lanka and you are a wealthy businessman, how come you have to call me from one of those sweat shops with a couple hundred other scammers in the background asking stupid scammer questions like, "so why are you selling your, er, item?" About the Seller I run a 2-bay Suzuki GS-specialty shop. Our crew includes a mechanical engineer and a dealership trained Suzuki mechanic who has built and tuned just about everything GS. We have particular expertise in carb tuning and modification, suspension tuning, charging and electrical systems. I’m particularly careful to provide accurate descriptions as we have sent bikes and parts to Europe, Canada, South America and all over the US--I know buyers don’t like surprises. We offer 12 yrs of feedback as our best reference. On Mar-07-15 at 10:54:25 PST, seller added the following information: The bike's factory furnished features got a little lost in the story of all the track-day upgrades. This bike came equipped with the DTC, ABS, slipper clutch, wheelie and stopee monitoring capabilities and of course the ride by wire feature that lets you select the appropriate mode on the fly. The bike's ECU takes over then and makes a lot of decisions many of which will be very good for your health! It's great to see a machine this capable provide such a well thought out 'disaster control' feature list. here are the modes available thanks to one of the spec sites. I don't know how many riders will complain about the power freeze kick-in with a 53 degree lean angle but I can assure you if I wind up doing a track day at mid-ohio, I will not be in the BMW reps complaint line!
