Vehicle Detail
I purchased this car from the original owner with intentions of repairing the clutch (I believe it's the slave/master cylinder) and run this as a daily driver. I knew the owner and know that this car was cared for very well. Always bought in for service at regular intervals and anything that went wrong was repaired right away. The owner bought a new TDI and the dealer would not give her enough on the trade to make it worth her while. So I bought it from her giving her the money she was looking for. I understand the timing belt and water pump was replaced at 140,000 as most TDI require. She said this car was getting her over 50 miles per gallon and never left here stranded until the clutch started giving her issues. When I got the car the the clutch pedal pumps up as if the clutch is disengaging but when you try to put the shifter in gear it grinds. This is an indication the clutch is not releasing. (Now this is a big difference from the clutch not grabbing) This is not the case. The clutch is good because it is grabbing. It just won't release. This is an indication of the clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder. After speaking to a mechanic. He agrees that this sound like what might be the problem. Anyway I bought it wanted to fix it as my daily driver. The snow came and came and kept coming and coming for weeks at a time. Anyone form Massachusetts will attest to that. I had a chance to buy a Ford 4x4 with a diesel engine and a plow and with all the snow on the ground I grabbed it. Now I don't need this VW along with my truck. As you can see I have good feedback and list my items with honesty and make no attempt to lie or deceit any one. I would not like it done to me so I don't do it to others. Just that simple. I have a clean and clear title for this car and will pass it on to the buyer. I was going to run the car through a car auction as you can see from the pictures but changed my mind once I found out the fees and costs associated with doing so. These are the numbers the auction placed on the windshield. I took the car back to my garage and it has been there since. It;s time to find it a new home. There is not set time limit to move the car from my garage as it's not currently in the way. I can store it for you on my property for as long as you like while you making arrangements to have it transported. I will require a $500.00 deposit at the time the Buy it ow is selected. The balance can be paid when you pick it up or within a week thereafter. Whatever comes first. If you need more time just email me prior to buying it now and we can set something up. The condition of the interior is black leather and in good shape. The engine has 220000 miles and runs well like a diesel should run. Brakes, exhaust, tires, transmission, all good. As I stated the issue is the clutch, Get the repaired and drive it home. Check out the roof rack. She added that on and if came be removed if you wish. Again, My feedback is 100% and I done my best to describe this vehicle as honestly and possible. Now the rest is up to you. Thanks for looking and good luck. IF ANYONE WISHES TO MAKE ME A FAIR AND REASONABLE OFFER I MAY CONSIDER DROPPING THE BUY IT NOW PRICE SO THE SALE CAN BE MADE. PLEASE BE SERIOUS WHEN YOU MAKE AN OFFER AND INTEND ON FOLLOWING THROUGH. THANKS
