1998 Toyota Camry LE - Remarkable condition for age and mileage! Two owner (Mother then Daughter) Awesome Deal! While the pictures present a very solid idea of the entire car I wanted to add some info that will help this listing be as detailed as possible:Whats wrong:* Needs U-Joints for front wheels and suspension (received an estimate of $376 to complete)*Windshield is cracked as shown in the pictures (Estimate was $212 installed)*The buttons on the stereo are wobbly*Scratches in different areas - only one really significant (possible keying - we never really knew)*Very small dent in top center of trunk lid*Needs new battery although alternator is fine - if you jump start the car, it will run until you turn it off*Oklahoma Tag up to 2012 (I realize the 2012 sticker is missing - it was peeled off) and would need back tag for 2013,14,15 and 2016 due in March. Oklahoma penalties indicate that a maximum late fee is $100, the 2013 and 2014 tags are $41 and the 2015 and 2016 are $21. Total to bring it current AND valid until March of 2017 is $224.00*Essentially thats it - any other questions please ask! As you can see, the outside of the car is great (aside from the aforementioned small defects) - it just needs a good wash and wax. It is 100% complete - nothing missing. It has been used as a commuter car - almost all miles are highway miles - for its entire life. All four tires (see pics) are practically brand new! The interior is not torn, worn or damaged. It is a non-smoker car. Exceptionally clean car! We have a HUGE amount of records showing regular maintenance! This car starts, runs and drove absolutely flawlessly prior to the play in the u-joints becoming too excessive. It could easily be driven from our house where it is currently stored in the garage to just about anywhere if special care was taken when accelerating and braking to prevent any problem with the u-joints (i.e. drive it from here to your home or repair shop). AS IS, I would not drive it as a daily driver until the u-joints are fixed. If you are at all mechanically inclined, this is a pretty simple job and parts are not expensive. Oil has always been regularly changed as has transmission fluid. All other fluids maintained as needed and everything functions as it should. This could EASILY be a absolutely great commuter car - gets great gas mileage, a good first car for a new driver or a backup car. Other than whats listed, this is really a perfectly reliable and excellent car. Please contact with offers and questions. We will be buying a new(er) car soon and our dealership offered us $950 as a trade-in towards a new(er) car we are considering. The title and registration is 100% in order and ready to be transferred. NadaGuides lists this from $750 (rough trade-in) up to $3550 for a 'Clean Retail'. Once the u-joints and windshield are repaired and tags brought current, it would easily be considered to be valued at $2800 if sold by a private party (KBB and NADA references -due to scratches, little dent etc). Every penny of this sale goes to our son to assist him in paying for his car expenses (he is 16 and drives one of our older cars - has lots of body damage and higher miles but he likes it). We will accept all reasonable offers. If you are local, trades would be considered (coin collections, hunting equipment - let us know if you have anything else - we'll consider it). We realize there are roughly $812 in costs to bring the car to a current state - once thats done, it REALLY is an exceptionally reliable daily driver or backup car. Taking everything into account, we are STILL asking less than the 'suggested' private party average sale price by a considerable amount so hopefully someone can make good use of it.
