For Sale 1986 560SL 2 owner car no reserve. Winter project for spring driving. Drives great, parked for restoration and never finished. purchased a Porsche for racing. Currently garaged in Hazleton PA has hard top with carrier and cover. I purchased the car in Miami around 2002 for my dad, bought it from him in 2006 drove it for about 4 years and then started to restore it. I stripped the wheels and had them check, painted them and cleared them with por15 clear coat. i put the rug on the dash to cover the crack that every Mercedes blue dashes do. i had the back seats conditioned and re-stained, i was going to do the front seats but figured i would buy new leather for about $1200 if you do MB tex its about $600. the only rust spot is by the electric antenna. i replaced the top when i got it but as you can see some of the stitching is coming loose, probably should be replaced. the cruse control works all the lights work and i replaced all the steering components and front shocks and rear. the tires are like new and CV joints in the rear axles are intact. The buttons for the ac/heat work but for some reason came loose, the ac is still r12 since i have a license and purchased a few extra cans. I also replaced the alternator with oem Bosch, did not diag the anti-lock light or airbag but i believe the ring in the steering wheel is dirty and the computer for the anti-lock . The body has no rust or any dents other than one on the passenger door which can be massaged out, it does need new molding on the drivers side door. As is I have the original radio and other extras. I would go to run the car every month or my dad would before he got sick. If you win this car, weather permitting i could take it to a shop and have it looked at for safety and split the cost for those that want to drive it. I want everyone to have the correct expectations on this car. I am selling it as is where is, if you want to come and see it and start it we can arrange, there is a big pile of snow in front of the garage where it is stored.
