Vehicle Detail

I am selling a black 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT 5 speed manual which I have owned since 1993. It had 48,448 miles on it when I purchased it and now has 234,644 miles. It is not running and has been stored inside the garage since September 2010. The engine has low compression and there is a noticeable knocking noise in the lower end. The transmission housing is cracked. I was planning on restoring it completely but our needs have changed. I have not customized it in any way – it is original. To make it a daily driver will require rebuilding the engine and transmission, replacing the A/C compressor, and a complete brake job. The paint is at least 20 years old and doesn’t look bad if you wax it but it does need a paint job. I replaced the seat covers in 2004 and they still look good. The carpet is worn but most of it is covered by the floor mats I bought in 2004. I have done a lot of work on the car as it has been my daily driver since 1998. Below is a partial list with the approximate mileage that these parts have on them currently as well as the installation date: Front and rear suspension 60,000 4/2005 Front and rear wheel bearings 60,000 4/2005Front rack and pinion 60,000 4/2005EGR tube 54,000 10/2005 Alternator bracket 48,000 3/2006Big bore throttle body 36,000 4/2007Cruise control servo & vacuum tank 36,000 4/2007SS fuel lines 34,000 6/2007TOMCO Fuel injectors 24,000 5/2008Reman distributor 24,000 5/2008New Fuel/Temp gauge 18,000 10/2008 I also replaced the fuel pump and the fuel pressure regulator with AC/Delco parts in 2010. The tires only have 2,000 miles and they are Firestone Potenza P 205/60R15. I have the rear spoiler. The brackets need to be repaired as can be seen in the picture. I have both the 1987 Pontiac Service manual and a Haynes manual (84-88). If you want to restore a Fiero this would be a good one as it is original.
