Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 66 corvette that I've owned since 1999. It's a 427 and was fun to drive in years past. My new life's direction just precludes me from enjoying her so I've decided to sell The paint is weak but looks ok from a few feet away, the interior is missing a couple of items (see pics) I just got it running again after being parked in the garage for about 6-7 years. The engine runs good. A new battery and a major detail job would make the car be a nice driving machine for the summer. 427-425 Hp performance engine (rebuilt)4 speed transmissionKnock off wheelsTele steering wheelPower disc brakesPower steeringSide exhausting I had some work done to it in the early 2000's with all new SS brakes, rear end rebuild and installed the OEM side pipes and a new top. The car was never wrecked and I have some pictures and a appraisal from the prior owner from the 70' and 80's Here's a list of things I remember, re chromed the bumpers and spinners, (OEM wheels) rebuilt the gears (marked AU) and axles, fiberglass spring. New clutch and trans has vin number on it (original) mechanical lifter camshaft (loud) needs octane booster, original 427 corvette (see numbers) original radio was converted to electronic guts so it plays better, and I just put in a new gas tank. There's no rust spots see anywhere on the car. I encourage you to do your own inspection. Headlamp doors, clock, radio and all gauges work, parking brake needs adjusted, needs a tune up, great tread on tires, missing carpet and passenger door panel. I won't disclose the reserve but I would consider serious offersOn Feb-08-15 at 21:28:09 PST, seller added the following information: Lots and lots of questions, here more info. 3869942 Block casting number3873858 head casting numbers, big ports3247 holley carbEngine numbers on stamp padOriginal exhaust manifoldsSide pipe were NOS in 2004 when installedKnocks off wheels are original, (4) All bumpers and wheels spinner where re chromed Original hoodBonding strips look intactDoesn't overheatHi rpm tach80 psi oil pressure gaugeVery small dash cracks in lower outside cornersVin on trans, Muncie m21, hurst shifter, stock looking handle On Feb-09-15 at 17:06:32 PST, seller added the following information: Additional info The entire rear end of the car was rebuilt in about 2005 and only driven a few hundred miles since then. New trailing armsRebuild and new axle shafts and bearingsAll new universal jointsNew ring and pinion, 3.70 ratioNew eaton posi traction Calipers and rotors replacedFiberglass spring and new sway bar hardware The oil pressure is 60 psi plusThe electric antenna does workThe lights and turn signals workThe engine runs at 180 degreesWindshield not cracked or scratched upThe frame looks realy strong without any rust spots More pictures of underside will be postedOn Feb-10-15 at 08:54:50 PST, seller added the following information: Rear axle stamp code is AL 4 12 65 and not AU as I I thought. I think the case was damaged and that's why it was replaced during all of the rear end work in the early 2000's. I have attached a picture. It looks like is has a slow oil leak Transmission vin doesn't seem to correspond to this cars vin, I have a picture attached. The case number is 3925661. The bellhousing is 3899621, it looks like the trans has a slow leak The engine doesn't seem to have any leaks and the frame does look real solid. On Feb-10-15 at 11:12:37 PST, seller added the following information: My phone number is 720-684-9598, I will help with shipping and store the car for a reasonable amount of timePayment via wire transfer I found the missing center console part and the jack, see the last picture posted.
