Ebay does not recognise the UK VIN - The V.I.N. is - SALLDHMB7FA406895 Hi and welcome to my advert for this original and unmolested 1989 Landrover Defender 110. The Landrover was first registered on the 11th November 1989 so it has literally just turned 25 years old which is the legal threshold for American import as a classic. Furthermore, it is a fully matching numbers vehicle. The VIN stamped on the front chassis leg matches the VIN on the brake booster as shown in the images above as well as the VIN number on the UK title . In addition, it has the original engine, gearbox etc. The Landrover has a UK MOT until 2015. This is an annual test which checks brakes, tyres, emissions, steering, chassis corrosion etc etc and it passed fine. The Land rover was owned previously by a couple just outside London. They have upgraded to a newer model so this one is surplus to requirements. They cherished the Land rover during their ownership of the Landy. This is a factory station wagon which is rare find. The truck has had a lot of service work done recently so its ready to be used and enjoyed by the new keeper. This truck has the 2.5 TURBO diesel, NOT the 2.5 na diesel that is pretty much a boat anchor. The exterior of the Landrover does not really need discussing in too much detail. The reason for this is because it has just had a full bare metal refurbishment and has been fully resprayed in Alpine white. The paintjob was done professionally by a local restoration company in the UK. There has been numerous coats of paint and it is not a quick blow over like many people have done. The paint is on nice and thick and the correct aluminium primers were used to ensure longevity. The body as you can see looks superb and it is very eye catching. Whilst the shop had the landrover stripped down, I got them to rebuild the door frames on all of the doors as these are a notoriously weak point for corrosion. New door frame rails have been welded in and also a new NS floor pan has been welded in place. The bulkhead is as solid as I have seen on this age and didnt require any work at all. As you can see from the images, even the lower bulkhead inside the engine bay is completely solid!! There may be an odd light mark to the body but very minimal and its a real head turner!!!. The inside of the Landrover is in very good condition indeed. The front cloth seats are in good shape with little wear. The second row seats are in very good shape and again there are no major marks or tears at all and they are all fitted with seatbelts. The dash board and door cards are all in good condition as is the roof lining although the lining does have a couple of light marks. The interior does not need any work at all and is ready to use as it is and enjoyed by the new keeper. Everything is nice and solid and the doors all shut nicely as they should The truck starts well and the engine runs nicely. The gears all change well with no nasty noises etc. The clutch operates as it ought to with no issues. The brakes, steering, suspension etc all work as they ought to. The water temperature sits nicely in the middle of the gauge with no overheating at all. The indicators etc all work with out fault. This is a turn-key Landrover ready to be enjoyed and could be used as a daily driver if needed. It will return around 30 mpg so pretty good on fuel. Minor blemish on driver floor pan and small blemish on right side of rear cross member. Easy fixes and are not issues unless you care about the look. Overall, beautiful truck at a very reasonable price. Of course, the truck is in the US. Of course, the truck has cleared customs. Yes, of course, the truck is sold with a clear Virginia title. I've imported and sold 15+ over the past year and have the process down. The truck is legit like all the others I have imported. There are and will be zero issues.
