This is an unrestored but very complete Sundial Camper VW bus. This bus sat for years after engine was removed for repairs it never got. Exterior Bus has original velvet green paint with no repairs or repainting that I can detect. It does have rust in usual areas. To me it appears to need the following rust areas replaced. Front floor pan, both dog legs under front doors, step area at cargo entrance, area over engine compartment. Rust around cargo doors where rubber seal goes. Both cargo doors are pretty rusty at bottom. Front doors and rear hatch have a little rust, but are usable for repair. Rust in battery area. Area under front seats is pretty nice, no rust around seat tracks. The bus is very straight with very few dents and no major damage, roof of bus is good with no leaks and nice drip rail. Engine The engine was sitting outside for many years waiting for repairs it never got. It is locked up now, but seems complete and has original air breather assembly. I was told this was the original engine but I'm not sure. I have included picture of it and engine number. Sundial Camper It appears that the camper kit is all there. It has the pull out bed still in place. Not sure if the seat nearest cargo doors came with this bus or not. Original roof rack still in place. Mechanical Bus rolls, steers and transmission shifts. It has decent tires recently installed with no leaks. I do not have ignition and door keys for the bus, but do have the gas filler door key. Door handles were locked, so I removed so I could open from outside easily. Both inside handles work fine, both door glasses slide fine. All glass is great except a bb peck in one of the front windshields. Original jack is with vehicle. This bus is 12 volt. I think it was a special order in 65 because it was to be used as camper, but not real sure. Original radio is in dash and nothing has been cut. Speedo shows 40, 000 miles. This but has lots of potential to just use as a patina vehicle with original paint or candidate for a full restoration. Vehicle sold with bill of sale only. Alabama does not title vehicles over 35 years old.
