Vehicle Detail

Very clean and well maintained Z06 which has been a California car (San Diego) since new. The car is in very good condition with some of the usual wear and tear you might find on a car of this age. Paint is excellent with some minor paint chips on the front bumper. Otherwise there are no scratches, no dents or any exterior imperfections.Interior is very good. Leather seats are in great condition, all the power functions work and carpets, dash etc. are all very good. I bought the car form the original owner who bought it for himself as a 50th birthday treat. He used it for commuting but was very particular about keeping it well maintained. At approx. 75,000 a new crate Z06 motor was installed, as the original dropped a valve while idling at a set of lights (according to the original owner). I have only put about 5,000 miles on the car since I bought it and have used it for cruising at weekends, going to car shows and not much else. In the last 2,000 mies the following has been done:Brake rotors and pads replacedAll fluids replaced (including transmission)New tiresAll debris vacuumed from exterior of radiator (amazing how much grit these cars suck up from the road) The car is basically ready to use for anyone looking for a very low cost way of owning a 400hp super car. I recently picked up another toy so the Z06 is now taking up space in my garage and it's time to go. Please send me any questions and I'd be happy to answer. On Jan-26-15 at 23:07:31 PST, seller added the following information: Update: I have received quite a few questions about the car, so wanted to provide more detail which will answer those questions some of you may have when viewing this listing. Exterior Condition: Paint is excellent. The paint chips on the bumper are minor and you have to look closely to notice them. All exterior trim, window rubbers etc. are perfect. The original owner garaged this car and I also keep it in my garage. The finish on the paint is clear, there are no swirl marks, no scratches or any dullness. This car has been professionally detailed at least twice per year since new and it shows. I have had sealant applied every 6 months to maintain the finish. Wheels are the original Z06 wheels and have some minor curb rash. A local wheel refinishing shop quoted $50 per wheel to repair the minor rash. Tires have about 80% tread left on them. Interior Condition: The leather is good, but not as soft/supple as the leather found in a new car. Regular conditioning will keep it crack free forever and there is no fading. There are no cracks on the dash and all the trim is in good condition with no noticeable scuffs or scratches. All switches and gauges work. Carpets are excellent - no wear or damage. Trunk area looks like it has never been used. Engine: As stated above, the engine was replaced by the previous owner at approx. 75,000 miles (clutch was replaced at this time also - made sense once the engine was out). It has been serviced regularly using the correct oil and has absolutely no issues at all. It pulls like a freight-train and runs perfectly. I have added a picture of the engine to the listing. There have been no modifications at all made and the car has never been used for anything more than commuting and weekend drives to car shows. The Auto Check score on the car is 89, which is excellent. The normal range for a 'premium sports car' is between 27 and 71. The car also qualifies for the Auto Check buyback program. I can't think of any areas where money needs to be spent on this Z06. I bought it because it was owned by an older gentleman who took exceptional care of it. I have replaced al wear items so I could use the car without having to think about maintenance or potential issues. It's definitely the cheapest, most reliable bang for the buck when it comes to a car capable of such insane performance. Alternatively, if you are looking for a solid Corvette to take to car shows, it also fits that bill too!
