Check out this very clean 1972 Chevrolet Vega GT. This car retains it's original 4 cylinder, 140 cubic inch power plant and original working a/c converted to R134 in May 2014. Actual mileage is unknown but the odometer shows 48,000. This car was owned by one gentleman for 42 years and was in Texas the entire time. He took meticulous care of the car and spent a lot of money doing many performance modifications back in the late 70s by a performance company named IECO. These allowed this Vega GT to increase it's performance from 110 HP to IECO claims of 170-180 hp with the modifications that were done. I have all documentation on the car going back to the late 70s. I purchased the car from a man that bought it from the original owner's estate and brought it back from Texas. I have all documentation to prove this was a clean, dry Texas car for 42 years. My plan was to have the car painted and keep it original however I've decided to pursue other interests. The car may be the cleanest original Vega GT in existence - At least 3 paint shops said it is the original paint. The only corrosion is a small area under the driver's fender in the rocker panel. It passed safety inspection and drives straight down the highway. It stops nice and handles excellent. The car is solid and quiet. Engine runs smooth and does not smoke. It is much faster than a stock Vega GT due to the IECO performance modifications. The a/c works and blows cold. All gauges work. Lights and blinkers all work. Horn works. wipers work, Clock works! (note clock was not installed in the pictures since I was bench testing it but it will be installed before end of auction) I'm also including many additional parts which I did not install since I was waiting to have it painted. This includes a new front carpet and door and hatchback rubber seals. I also have other miscellaneous parts which I am including with the sale.
