Vehicle Detail
This is a 1979 Dodge Dreamer hauler. Dodge built 100 of these as promotional vehicles for the support of the brand and recreational vehicles. If you google "Dodge Dreamer" you will see that this truck originally retailed for $50,000 in 1979! This was and is the ultimate hauler. This is built on the Dodge 1 ton frame, then the van body was installed and customized. You can also google and see the Dreamer that the show "counts cars" restored and customized, I planned to also make this a hot rod hauler but time just doesn't permit me to go any further. The rear seat folds out into a bed and the front seats swivel so everyone can party like its 1979 inside! Complete with the shag carpet headliner! I have rebuilt the top end of the engine with all new gaskets, rebuilt carburetor, cleaned and prepped EGR for smog. (It is ready for smog) The engine is very powerful being a very good running 440 big block. One of the coolest systems is that this truck is Dual fuel, you can see the propane tank in the bed, it holds 98 gallons of propane and between the frame rails it holds about 60 gallons of gas. You flip a couple switches inside and you can run on either fuel. Of course you can also run your trailer on this 98 gallons of propane. The front brakes, top end of the engine, and the carburetor have been rebuilt so you can drive this dreamer home today! On Dec-30-14 at 14:58:49 PST, seller added the following information: I have had some questions in regards to the AC and electrical systems. The AC is all there but I have not used it so I am going to be selling this as the AC not working. All of the electrical works lights, fan, etc. The heater works. I have not used the dual fuel system but it is all there and I don't see why it wouldn't work, but again I have not invested the time to fill it with propane and run the car.
