Vehicle Detail
Yes, this is a barn find, but one of the best you will ever find. It was only driven 42,370 miles and has been off the road, stored inside since 1980. Everything on this car is factory original and loaded with options--paint, interior, Wildcat 355 engine, factory air conditioning, tinted windows, power steering and brakes, roof rack, deluxe front seat belts, padded dash, radio with rear speaker and more--a very expensive car when new. The car is virtually rust and accident free. They do not salt the roads in Oregon, so the underside has little if any rust. Surface rust is beginning to show in a few places, but the only " rust through area" is a few pinholes in the spare tire well. The paint and interior is acceptable for a driver quality car, but the carpets need replacing. The engine does not turn over, but I have flooded the cylinders with Marvel Mistery Oil, so it might free up. I would plan on at least a light rebuild. Brakes and the fuel system will also need to be reconditioned. All of the glass is in great condition with the exception of a cracked windshield, but they are readily available at a modest price. The electric rear window is functional, along with lights, turn signals, interior lights etc. The car comes with GM 14" rally wheels (with chrome centers and beauty rings) as shown in the photos, plus four original wheels. The spare is still in the factory compartment with the original jack. There is slight damage (dents) to the hood, RF fender and tailgate (as shown in the photos), but all would be relatively easy to repair. At least all of the metal is rust free and solid. The stainless and chrome trim is very decent, but the bumpers have some damage, and in my opinion need to be redone. My reserve is modest for a car as rare and original as this glass roof Custom Sport Wagon. The car is available for inspection most anytime by appointment.
